31st Annual Forwald Relays Saturday April 19   Raffensperger Track, Iowa City

Champions - 131 points

Wet and Wild! You really competed hard and you kept up the great City High Tradition of performing great in awful conditions! Most other teams don't do that.

Excellent day for Throwers (5 of 6 possible PR's) Plus our first Top Ten addition outdoors this year.

We keep getting better each meet. That is the mark of good teams. Keep building. We are not quite to the half way point. WORK HARD!

8 PR'S and 1 Top Ten addition

4th place 43 1/2 points

JV - Champions 111 points

All times except Varsity 800 are FAT (take off .24 from individual events to get hand times & PR)

23 PRs! JV had outstanding meet. They doubled in 9 events, which is the way top teams win meets. Looks good for the future.

Varsity was shut out of 6 events. We must improve here. Out 800 group had a good day, 7 of 14 spots were PRs. We only scored 10 1/2 points in field events. Some still have to toughen up and hit that second race harder.

John Ask Relays  Friday May  9  (V-JV)  @Kingston Cedar Rapids 5:00 PM

Excellent TEAM effort. Our best of the season. This is the time Championship teams start to get better! To get 39 PRs this late in the season shows you are still working hard. Don't stop now! Sprinters had an excellent meet. Swaney made the Top Ten list. Grenko had 3 top races. Cahalan had a very good day, getting varsity points in the JV 1600 and 800. Great debut by Humston in the 400 LH. Great job on second races.
