What is it?: An opportunity for people of all ages to experience the fun and excitement of track and field competition in a relaxed and fun setting. Three meets will be held, with slightly different events taking place at each depending on interest. Money raised from this event will be used to help send City High Track & Field athletes to the National Track & Field Meet in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Date and Time: Saturday July 10th from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon
Where: This years meet will be held at Regina High School on Rochester Avenue in Iowa City.
Events: Participants will sign up for specific events upon arrival at the meet site.
Field Events (Start 9:00 am); Long Jump, High Jump, Discus, Shot Put
Running Events (Start 9:00 am); 4 x 100, 1500m OR 3000m, 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles, 100m OR 200m, 800m, 400m, 4 x 800, 4 x 400, 800 Medley Relay or 1600 Medley Relay
Age groups: When possible, participants will be grouped according to the following age divisions:
Elementary: 3rd-5th grades, Junior: 6th - 8th grades
Senior: 9th - 12th grades, Open: ages 19-39, Masters: age 40 and over
The number of sections for each event will be determined after entries received.
Registration: $5 for unlimited event entries (proceeds benefit City High girls track & field)
Participants are encouraged to pre-register using the form below, or by e-mailing the meet director.
Day of meet registrations will be taken from 8:00-8:30 am only.
