Drake Stadium is located between Forest Avenue and University Avenue. Take 31st street exit. Turn right on 31st and follow to Forest Ave. Turn right on Forest and follow to 28th street. Stadium is at the intersection of Forest and 28th.
The Walnut Creek Best Western is located just off of I-235 Exit 3. Take the exit (also called 8th/73rd St) and go south of the interstate less than a quarter of a mile and you will see it on the right on the southwest corner of the intersection of 8th St and Office Park Rd.

Meals
The school
will provide money for dinner on Thursday and a portion of Friday. You will want to have money for meals
on Friday and Saturday, t-shirts, and anything you might need or want. You also should have some food and
fluids with you to have at the stadium each day.
Weather
Be prepared
for ANY weather condition! Bring extra clothes in case of rain or cold, and most of all bring Sun-Screen and some light clothes to cover up with in the event of a very sunny day.
Warm-Up Procedures
All athletes
will be allowed to warm-up in the field house, Knapp Center, or soccer field by
the tennis courts. The warm-up
“track” in the parking lot near the stadium is available 1 hour before your
event. No warm-ups are allowed on the Drake track or infield.
For field
events, warm-ups will take place at the venue and will begin 60 minutes before
the scheduled start for jumping events. Throwing events should check-in at least 30 minutes before competition
time. Throwing implements must be
weighed at the throwing venue at least 2 hours prior to the event.
Competition
Athletes in
running events must be checked in 15 minutes before the event’s scheduled start
time. The check-in station is in
the parking lot east of the stadium. All individuals and members of relays must go to this check-in point.
All
individuals and anchor runners need hip numbers on both sides. Distance events will get a third number
for the chest. Relay running order
will be verified at that time as well.
Bib numbers
are to be worn on the front of your jersey. Keep it if you compete on multiple days.
No Moye starting blocks will be allowed at this meet.
Access to
the track will be from the check-in area only. You will be lead by Drake officials to the start area for
your race. You will place all training shoes and sweats in a box to be picked
up after your event.
Champions in
all events will be recognized at the awards stand but will not be presented
with your awards. I will get a
packet with all awards at the conclusion of the meet.
After your
event, you will be escorted from the track to the recovery area to pick up your
clothes and training shoes.
