City High's Wagner takes third in shot

The City High girls track team had two place-winners in the field events portion of the Quad City Indoor meet Friday at Augustana College.

Corrie Wagner took third place in the shot put with a toss of 36-feet, 5 1/2-inches. It was the best finish ever by a City High girl at the meet, and an improvement of 4-3 for Wagner over her effort last year.

Kilee Evans took sixth place in the long jump with a leap of 14-5 3/4.

The next competition for the Little Hawks is the Muscatine Indoor meet next Saturday at the UI Recreation Building.
