West High and City High collected a pile of top places Monday at the Mississippi Valley Conference indoor meet at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.

The Women of Troy had eight first-place finishes, led by Danica Haight, who had a toss of 42 feet, 1 inch. West hurdlers Lindsay Freeman and Katie Johnson finished 1-2 in the 60 hurdles.

For City, Patrice Jones won the open 200 and also ran a leg on the winning 4x200 team. Samantha Sidwell won the 1,500 and also ran a leg on the winning 4x800 relay.

Sarah Ziegenhorn also ran a leg on that 4x800 team and won the open 800 in City's division.
