City High's girls track team won 16 of 19 events and scored 240 points to win the Cedar Rapids Xavier Invitational on Friday in Cedar Rapids.

Sarah Anciaux won the shot put and discus for the Little Hawks, Valerie Mozena won the long jump, Krista Wiegert won the high jump, Sydni Koenig won the 100, Veronica Rydze won the 100 hurdles, Kerry Kamber took the 400, Kelsey Mims won the 200, and Molly Sabers placed first in the 400 hurdles. City also won the 4x800, shuttle hurdle, distance medley, 4x200, sprint medley, 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

City's 4x400 relay time of 4 minutes, 3.09 seconds was a meet record and the fastest in the state so far this season.

Tigerette Relays

• SOLON: The Spartans took third place with 65 points in Tipton.

Quinn Morelock won the shot put for Solon, and Josie Takes won the 100. Ashley Hamann was second in the 800.

• CLEAR CREEK AMANA: The Clippers failed to win an event, but used their depth to score 59 points and take fourth place.

Second-place finishers were Sarah Sedivec in the shot put, Taylor Leichsenring in the long jump, and Brooke Rugger in the 400 hurdles.

• REGINA: Carly DuCharme won the long jump and 400 hurdles to lead the Regals to a fifth-place finish with 51 points. Lauren Ruppert won the 400, and Regina was second in the shuttle hurdle relay.

• WEST LIBERTY: The Belles took 11th place with 16 points. Sam Black was second in the 200 and and fourth in the 400.

• MID-PRAIRIE: The Golden Hawks scored 11 points for 13th place, taking second in the sprint medley relay. Emily Hershberger anchored the relay with a 1:05 split.

Williamsburg scored well in the field events, with Abby McWilliams and Tara Knock finishing first and second in the discus. Mackenzie Westcott won the high jump, and Paige Jones was second in the shot put.

Kelsey Witte won the 800, and the Raiders also won the distance medley relay.
