City High's girls track team scored 165 points and placed in every event Tuesday to win the Clinton Invitational.

"It was a solid night for us," City coach Terry Coleman said. "We were looking to focus a little more on quality tonight. Nobody ran more than two events."

Annie McKay was City's only individual winner, taking the 800 meters ahead of teammate Samantha Sidwell.

The Little Hawks also won the 4x800, 4x200, sprint medley and 4x400 relays. They took second second in the 4x100, shuttle hurdle and distance medley relays.

• CITY HIGH: The Little Hawks scored 161 points and won the Ray Byrnes Invitational on Tuesday in West Des Moines.

Host West Des Moines Valley was second with 131 points.

The Little Hawks started well in the field events. Josh Koeppel and Adam Nicholson finished first and second, respectively, in the discus. Koeppel was second in the shot put, and Spencer Langtimm and and Dorian Davis finished first and second in the high jump.

David McKay and Travis Robertson took first and second in the 3,200, and the Little Hawks were second in the 4x400 relay.
