City
High's girls track team scored 53½ points and took third place
Wednesday and Thursday at the season-opening Quad City Indoor Meet at
Augustana College.
Samantha Sidwell won the 1,600-meters for the
Little Hawks, and Kelsey Mims, Caroline Mills, Krista Wiegert and
Maggie Leyendecker won the 4x400 relay.
"We graduated quite a few
kids," City coach Terry Coleman said. "Our freshmen and sophomores
really performed like veterans, which is what we're looking for."
