MVC Mississippi Division

• CITY HIGH: The Little Hawks set a school record for points scored in an invitational with 229 to win the Mississippi Division meet Friday at Dubuque Hempstead.

Dubuque Senior was a distant second with 91.3.

It was the 16th conference championship for City High in the last 20 years.

The Little Hawks won 11 events. Sarah Anciaux won the discus and shot put, Sam Sidwell won the 3,000- and 800-meters, and Kelly Krei won the 200 in 25.69 seconds -- the second-fastest time in the state this spring.

Others winners for City were Krista Wiegert in the high jump, Signe Mueller in the 400, and the 4x800, shuttle hurdle, 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

• MID-PRAIRIE: The Golden Hawks scored 184 points won their own invitational in Wellman.

Jessica Campbell won the discus for Mid-Prairie, Brandee Bohr won the 100, Chelsea Anderson with 800, Melissa Hershberger won the 400 hurdles, and the Golden Hawks won the distance medley, 4x200, sprint medley and 4x100 relays.

• REGINA: The Regals were third with 88 points.

Lauren Ruppert won the 400 for Regina, Whitney Hoogerwerf won the 100 hurdles, and the Regals won the 4x800, shuttle hurdle and 4x400 relays.

• IMS: Iowa Mennonite School scored 45 points for fifth place.

Annette Gingerich was second in the 3,000.

West Branch also won the 4x200, 4x400, 4x800, distance medley, shuttle hurdle and sprint medley relays.

• WEST LIBERTY: The Belles scored 55 points for fourth place.

Ashley Feldman won the discus to lead West Liberty.
