City High's girls track team opened the outdoor season with a win at the Steve Sherwood Invitational on Tuesday at City High.

Sarah Anciaux won the discus with a meet-record throw of 129-feet, 2-inches, to lead the Little Hawks, beating Jessica Elliott's old mark of 127-8 from 2003.

Freshman Ashley Wilkinson won the 100 meters in 12.98 seconds for City.

Other winners for City were Mercedes Harris in the 400, Mariah Jordan in the 100 hurdles and Molly Sabers in the 400 hurdles. The Little Hawks also won the shuttle hurdle, 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
