City
wins 10 events at Clinton Relays

City
High's girls track team scored 154 points and won 10 events
to take first place at the Clinton Relays Tuesday.
The Little Hawks set state-leading times
in the 3,000-meters (Jennie Funk at 9 minutes, 56.59 seconds),
4x800 relay (9:44.81), sprint medley relay (1:53.14) and
4x200 (1:48.04). City already held the state's best times
in the distance medley, 4x400 and shuttle hurdle relays.
City's
other winners were Kelsey Full in the 400, Katie Fraga
in the 400 hurdles, Jessica Elliott in the discus, Meggan
Reed in the 1,500 and the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

WILTON INVITATIONAL: Clear Creek Amana scored 133
points and took first place in Wilton.
Marcy
Rahn won the 3,000 for the Clippers in a school-record
time of 11:02.46. She set the old mark of 11:03.5 last
year.
Other
winners for Clear Creek Amana were Carolyn Ruppert in
the discus and shot put, Erin Dougherty in the 400, Jenna
DeBrower in the 100 hurdles and Angela Mahoney in the
1,500. The Clippers also won the 4x800 and sprint medley
relays.
West
Branch scored 80 points for third place and Solon was
fourth with 63.83.
Katie
Lumpa won the 800 for the Bears, who also won the distance
medley relay. West Branch took second in the 4x200, 4x100
and 4x400 relays.
Natalie
Miller led the Spartans with first place in the 400 hurdles
and long jump. Solon also won the 4x400.
